Masterpost - Midnight Of the Century
Title: Midnight Of the Century
Author(s): glasslogic
Artist: briarwood
Crossover: Supernatural/Millennium
Disclaimer: All material is owned by its respective copyright holders and no profit is being made from this story.
Type: Slash, Het, Threesome, AU, Crossover
Word Count: 62k
Characters/Pairings: Sam/Jess, Sam/Dean, Sam/Jess/Dean
Warnings: NC-17, some sex, some bad language, death - but not any of the above chars
Spoilers: None for SPN I don't think since it's AU from before the series starts, a few for Millennium
Summary: Sam hasn’t spoken to Dean in years. He went to Stanford Law and graduated, now he is studying for the Bar and planning a wedding for the spring. He sees Dean’s fetch on Christmas in a churchyard while attending service with his fiancee' Jess and her family. Fetches are death omens for those who will die in the coming year. Suddenly, Sam finds himself on the road, looking for his wayfaring brother and trying to figure out a way for him to avoid his fate.
Author’s Notes: This story was written for the 2010 sn_cross Big Bang. Notes and words of effusive thanks and gratitude can be found at the end of the fic - in the meantime I would like to thank asdis athanasia, kathickers, lilacsigil, dime-for-12, elusive_life_77, and fickleanactoria for being amazing betas, and of course briarwood, who did the outstanding artwork for the story.

I had no idea what Millennium was and unlike some x-overs that was okay! Love the pacing wasn't some overly drawn out year long expedition.. it moved. Jess is quite sassy, love her all her one liners. But I have a serious thing for threesomes right now, so I am having trouble getting over the squee factor there. Absolutely, loooove the three of them together (and Jess ISN'T Mary-sue) it just works.
Just gorgeous, really.
And I get to use this icon, Yay!

I love how you made Jess and Sam as a team and the awkward situation with the three of them. I can see them being a threesome, without it being very hard.
An excellent, excellent job. Congratulations!

Anyway. I just devoured the entire story in one sitting. It took me a few hours. Solid, dedicated, no-patience-for-anything-else hours. This was long and plotty and well-written, in perfect character, with believable relationships (warts and all), actual discussions about the logistics of polyamory, and a wonderfully sexy payoff at the end. It was all-around spectacular, in point of fact. One of the best triad fics I've ever had the pleasure to have read.
I felt compelled to stop and say as much.
I also see that there is a sequel, and I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. But, uh, that might have to wait until tomorrow, as it is now 3am and I am le tired.
So very well done, you. Bless you for writing this.
