Static - Master Post

Fic title: Static
Author name: glasslogic
Artist name: ely-wa
Genre: wincest, slash
Pairing: Sam/Dean
Disclaimer: I have no rights to any of the copyrighted free hit counterscharacters/material in this fic, and I make no profit from it.
Rating: NC-17
Word count: 63k
Warnings/Spoilers: dub-con, blood-play, ...bad language (again).

Summary: Lilith's plans are in shambles and the door to Lucifer's cage has been well and truly lost, but Dean is still a demon and Sam is still bound to him with a stolen curse of sex and blood. All things considered, though, Sam's life could be worse and he is making peace not just with Dean, but with his own growing psychic gifts and the barrage of seemingly meaningless visions they inflict on him. But strange winds are starting to blow and after a series of disasters strike, Sam discovers that the greatest danger may be in the secrets that still lie between him and Dean. If Sam can't fix things before time runs out it won't be the Apocalypse, but it will still be the end of the world.

This story is a direct sequel to Fortress, and was submitted for the 2011 SPN J2 Big Bang challenge.

Author's Notes

I owe my undying gratitude and effusive thanks to the following people --vodou_blue for her extrordinary (and, as always, last minute on my part) grammar work, elusive-life-77 for beta reading and her unflagging enthusiasm and zombie slayage, and canter76, alchemynerd, caz2y5, roshni06, and heard-the-owl, all of whom offered so much of their time and advice and support to get this story done and posted on time.

And of course my awesome artist ely-wa!

Hi there, just letting you know I reccd this glorious fic and Fortress here (http://spnroundtable.livejournal.com/285493.html) at the [livejournal.com profile] spnroundtable this morning. :))

I'm sitting in front of my laptop vibrating with anticipation. Ever since I read the last paragraph of Fortress, I've wanted to know: what the *&*& happens NOW?!!

I'm so very happy to see the sequel. My only regret now is that it's almost 3 AM here, my eyes are about to fall out of my head, and I've already pulled all-nighters three nights out of the last four. *sigh*

I'm not sure if I commented on Fortress, but if I didn't, let me take this opportunity to say it was one of the most compelling, well-written, imaginative fics it's been my pleasure to read in a very long time. The concepts behind the angel/demon thing [avoiding spoilers] alone was a whammy from left field. Then the connection between Sam and Ruby and how you resolved the whole 'letting Lucifer out' thing? Poetry. Sheer poetry. And very satisfying, which, despite the fact that I liked it, the canon version wasn't in some vague way. YMMV.

I'm going to end this overlong comment and leave the tab open in my browser - and after some sleep, I'm going to read the whole thing. I'm looking forward to it. 'Nite.

Oh this was wonderful! I love how you explored entropic-demon!Dean and his/its view of life, people, the world in general...

And Sam! He was great in this: determined and stubborn and stupidly noble (which he totally is in show, too).

But they still haven't freed the Angels of Hell, so... that idea is bubbling around in your mind someplace, right? I mean, I would so love to see the red-haired Angel kick Lilith's ass even if by uncaring accident. (I can't believe she's still alive after Ilchester. doh!)

Anyways, off to read some more of your stuff. So far, you haven't disappointed. =]

Is it possible to reload the pdf file please? thanks

Hey there! I am LOVING the Fortress 'Verse. So many of the ideas you explore here are so original and so clever. I've never once come across the idea of moving the entrance to the cage (neato!), and your bilateral nature of Heaven and Hell, mirror-imaged but -- like the opposing poles of a magnet -- naturally repulsive is such an elegant and intriguing concept.

All of that is fascinating, but the real meat of the story lies in your beautifully realized Sam and Dean. Dean especially is so mysterious and yet right. That Dean is an agent of chaos has always been clear; that you take this so much further and into such unexplored territory is marvelous. I can't wait to learn more about just what kind of beast Dean is now. Not an Entropic Angel, but not quite a demon as we understand it either.

I do have a request, if that's okay. The PDF to this third installment was hosted on the seized-by-the-Feds Megaupload. Is there any chance you could email the PDF for Static to me ( timian3.14@me.com ) or maybe upload it to some still working site? I'd be most grateful.

Thank you!

Wow, glasslogic, blown away by your talent. What a fantastic storyline, tight, exciting, suspenseful and so so sexy. I can't tell you how glad I am that the internet enables us to tap into each others' imaginations like this! Thanks so much for these stories, I'll be coming back for more!

Hi! Would it be possible to email me the PDF? I'd love to be able to read this series, but I'm afraid I won't have much Internet access for the rest of the summer. I'd really, really appreciate it.

My email: (highlight) ****

Thanks in advance!

And again I come bearing bad-link tidings. LOL A new, shiny, functioning link would be awesome! *wink*

E2A::: If it helps, MediaFire seems to be a decent new hosting site, if you're getting lots of PDF requests and are looking for a place.
