The Cause Sanguine - Authors Notes and Thanks

My author's notes were a little more extensive than usual for this fic, what with all the thanking and stuff I had to do - so they get their own page this time.

This Big Bang was in many ways more of a challenge than previous one's I've participated in, partially because this story is a little different of a format for me, and partially because the way the challenge was set up was ...unusual. But since I didn't notice it was odd until I was already in violation of the rules, it didn't really effect me *dryly* Everything seems to have come together at the end though, and now I would like to thank the people who are, as always, deserving of more than I can do with mere words.

First off -- my rockin' artist ldyghstwhisprer! She has been a great buddy and enthusiastic cheerleader for weeks now, getting paired up with an artist and discussing respective visions for the fic and the art that will eventually adorn it has always been one of the great highlights of participating in a Big Bang. I have really enjoyed her questions and her comments and I love the banner and other work that she did for the story! She must have really liked the summary because she also claimed me for the mix, and I encourage everyone to take a few minutes to enjoy to the songs she picked out. Also swing by her journal and let her know how you like her work!

In addition, I'd like to thank the usual suspects for their invaluable assistance with this fic! Anything still wrong with it is entirely my fault (naturally) and if it's technical -- most likely a result of last minute fiddling. Or, you know, gutting 10k of the story and deciding that instead of one way the story should swing the other -- and missing some of the missteps from the drastic redirectioning *winces*

vodou-blue - for once again beating my comma splices, and the results of general failure to pay attention in middle school English, into line so the story doesn't make your eyes bleed,  elusive_life_77 - who certainly went above and beyond on this one, I think there were a few nights she literally saw each and every line I wrote and patted my head to encourage me to write the next one.  wickedlilwitch -- who ripped the hell out of the first four chapters but didn't have time to attack the rest of it with the red pen of death (because I was a slacker and gave her about one day to do it), her suggestions certainly contributed to making it a smoother ride and next time I will try really hard to give her at least a week. And spn_j2fan who gave me a lot of suggestions and some excellent advice on plot holes and general angling that helped to make the story flow a lot better.

I would also like to thank caz2y5 -- who didn't actually beta this fic, but who keeps me company on gchat at crazy hours of the night (for me, she is in Australia and is up at a sane hour) so I keep working, and listened patiently when I sprained my ankle badly at midnight so I couldn't go upstairs to bed (or, you know, stand) and needed to bitch and whine at someone to distract myself from the nauseating pain. Who decided we needed curbs along roads anyways?!?

I would also like to thank the mods who have run this Big Bang. Whatever issues and reservations I have about how they chose to arrange things (and I definitely do have them), they have clearly put in an incredible amount of time and effort into organizing the challenge and trying to make sure things ran smoothly. Even when a bunch of the people participating seemed to have only a dim idea of what was actually going on *grins* To the moderators credit, they have stayed above the fray and continue to handle things in a calm, reasonable and respectful tone as far as I can see, and that more than anything is what is needed when these little hiccups in communication happen.
